Reporting to: Managing Partner & Lead Event Planner

As Server or Bartender, you are responsible for executing the details of a Bon Vivant event. You collaborate with the Event Supervisor or Onsite Chef to execute the floorplan, set the table, or set the bar. You review the event’s details and work with your team to provide our guests with the restaurant quality experiences they are used to. You maintain the high standards our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide old-school hospitality:  You anticipate the guest’s needs. You have the ability to scan the room and spot the client who is need of something. You act. You problem solve on the fly with a smile on your face.

  • You have a passion for food, drinks and (or) entertaining. You love food. You know that cocktail culture and wine knowledge is not static. You observe and listen to our guest’s feedback to build your own knowledge base.

  • You are professional. You conduct yourself in a mature fashion at all times, but you have fun at work while maintaining standards. You expect the same of your team. You understand when in our client’s homes that you represent Bon Vivant and that it's all about the details.

  • You take pride in your work.

Qualifications

  • Experience: You have worked in restaurants or hotels for a minimum of 3 years. It doesn’t have to be recently if you still have hospitality buzzing in you.

  • Knowledge: You know food or drinks. You’ve travelled and experienced other cultures. You’re curious.

  • Stamina: Sometimes shifts are 4 hours; sometimes they’re 8 hours. There are always things to schlep and work areas to clean up. We get it done together, efficiently.

  • Flexibility: We provide a lot of flexibility with scheduling. You provide your availability and when you commit to a shift, you follow through.
